The first multi-department Grand Rounds will be held on September 8th 2021 as we host
William A. Smith, PhD who is the chair of education, culture & society at the University of Utah. He will speak to us about, “The Medical Significance of Understanding Racial Battle Fatigue.” Racial Battle Fatigue is a framework that provides a clearer method for understanding the race-related experiences of People of Color. It allows us to gain insight into how institutions, policies, practices, traditions, groups and individuals perpetuate race-related stressors that adversely affect the health and academic achievement of Students of Color and impact trainee diversity on university and college campuses.
