A Surgeon’s Perspective
Dr. Matt Graves currently serves as
professor, trauma fellowship director,
Hansjörg Wyss Endowed Chair of
Orthopaedic Trauma, and chairman of the
Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and
Rehabilitation at the University of
Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).
He is a four-time winner of the Ronald J.
Kendig Orthopaedic Professor of the Year
Award and a two-time recipient of the
Howard Rosen Award. He has taught over
100 courses on trauma and deformity in
12 countries.
He lectures nationally and internationally
and has a primary clinical focus on
complex fracture care and
nonunions/malunions. Aside from clinical
care, his primary focus has been
education.
